what a funny old man
just a quick excerpt from aesthetics class the other day:
Professor:...so you all see what it means to be reified.
Student question: so then, is Adorno reified?
Professor answer: no, Heidegger is reified! HAHAHAHhhaahahahaha (continues laughing at himself for about a minute. the entire class remains silent.)
though actually, it is kind of funny, maybe more because he found it funny than because it really was funny.
maybe you just had to be there.

well, you see, a thing is reified once it has undergone the process of reification.
actually i have it from a reliable source that adorno got loads and loads of booty. and also, what is wrong with being a pessimist when everything around you has been reified???
